I had the possibility to try out the particular W606-5 Flanker by HJ Toys . Seeing the drone before I got the box I was quite left, the design looked stunning, and it had a new nice FPV setup on the controller.

The Flankers design appears to be very influenced by a design called the Apple Drone, which will be not an official The apple company design, but an enthusiasts imagined design.

And this seems to be a theme with the W606 series . Typically the W606-3 had a design and style very inspired by typically the Lily Camera Drone. Typically the W606-3 has not had that will great reviews on the particular net, and the style of the controller looks to be exactly the same because the controller regarding the 606-5.

This made me slightly worried about the overall performance in the 606-5.

Initially look the drone looks promising, it is sleek, appears like a high quality build, and has big propellers. The design is very nice and the FPV screen fits nicely on top of the control.

Assembly is pretty right forward, and you charge the particular battery inside the wall outlet.

You require 6 AA batteries for the controller.

Flying the Flanker W606-5

My first flight consisted of calibrating the drone, as it needed serious adjusted. Second time I flew with it, it flew fine.

Lift-off was easy. The camera worked well, and I actually controlled the camera together with the remote.

It was relatively secure to fly. I could not necessarily properly test the range, it says 300-500 meters, yet I have seen reports that say less.

The return to base switch did not seem to job very well for me, it flew sideways inside the wrong direction.

Within some instances I could not use the command to shutdown all the propellers.

The altitude setting seems to work nicely, and keeps you with a stable altitude, which is good when you would like to focus on capturing video, or taking pictures.

It has been fun to fly, yet seemed to have several issues with its functions. I will have to be able to test it again at the later point.

There is no gimbal, so your video may be a bit unstable, but the drone is OK for beginners who want to play around with a camera and shoot some video.

The controller appears quite nice. Some of the buttons are noticeable, some unmarked. The FPV screen fits along with typically the controller, and the picture it produces is great and clear.

For whatever reason the FPV screen turns off regularly following about 3 minutes, yet that might be some setting I can modify.

A person get a micro SECURE DIGITAL for the camera saving. The HD camera may rotate 45 degrees up and 45 degrees down.

Outstanding design.

Low price.

Nice looking FPV method with clear image.

Nice sized rhyme.

Can rotate camera 45 degrees up plus 45 degrees down.

The FPV display regularly turns off (might be a setting I have missed)

Needs a lot of calibration. Within my very first flight the drone 1st moved to the left, after I calibrated of which, the drone moved forward, and finally I noticed of which the drone automatically spun.

Rather short flying time.

Some functions failed to job.

This specific is just a brief video clip. I tried the altitude mode to keep the drone at the particular same altitude (when you hear the beep! ). An attractive handy function that allows you to concentrate on additional things like shooting movie etc.

I really could not properly test the number, as the area I flew in was not really large enough.

The Flanker W606-5 looks amazing, and is also pretty well built. I got some issues with a new couple of the features, but it flew nicely, plus the FPV system has been cool too. All in all, this is the pretty interesting camera jingle for novices. Have you tried it? Would love to hear from you in the comments.
